Dept. of Agricultural and Vocational Education, SNU is seeking to hire a talented and visionary individual as visiting professor to provide creative leadership for teaching and research in Vocational Education and Workforce Development, and great scholars in leading universities of foreign countries are welcomed.

Qualifications

All candidates must be professor in service or retired professor in leading universities of foreign countries, have a Ph. D. degree and meet all the requirements of the Seoul National University hiring policy. Professors on sabbatical leave are the most welcomed.

Contract Period

   ∙One year should be first selected from the Korea Research Foundation.

     ∙Short-term: a semester(15 weeks) or a vacation(about 11weeks) of the 2007 school year

(March 1, 2007 - February 28, 2008)

 ∙Begin March 1, 2007

Responsibilities of Contract Professors

    ∙Teach an undergraduate and /or a graduate course in English

    ∙Guide or help students write their theses and dissertations

     ∙Conduct brown bag seminars more than one per month

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with professional experience. If the candidate should be also selected from the inviting distinguished scholar program of Korea Research Foundation, salary will be up to approximately $ 110,000 a year. A medical insurance will be provided.
